Top 10 Most Popular Items at GMO-FREE Trader Joe's

Trader Joe’s is no ordinary grocery store, known for their eclectic, unusual and totally fabulous range of goodies. Best thing - they are GMO-free !!! Read on for top 10 most popular items:

1. TRIPLE GINGER SNAPS: After the initial crunch, you hit the chewy middle which melts around the tanginess of the crystallized ginger pieces. Handily sold in Trader Joe’s inimitable shareable bucket type packaging many would argue that they are too good to share. (Especially good if dipped in Cookie Butter - see below) Described as tasting like a deep, savory ginger orgy.

2. SPECULOOS COOKIE BUTTER: Photos of this new cult product have gone viral on social networking sites often captioned as #omg #heaven #obsessed. The texture is like a creamy peanut butter, but the taste is like super nutty cookies. This often sells out the minute the stores are restocked. Fans say that it goes great on literally everything and anything. Described on foodbeast.com as tasting like “Snickerdoodle Drug Butter”. Share if you dare !
3. JOE JOE’S COOKIES (all varieties): With a range of options including chocolate cream and vanilla creme as well as seasonal flavours like candy cane creme regularly added these are similar to the popular brand ‘Oreo’s’ but nowhere near as sweet.
4. REDUCED GUILT CHUNKY GUACAMOLE: This has 50% less fat and is 40% lower in calories than regular guacamole making it an instant hit for Trader Joe’s fans. It is light and fluufy whilst maintaining the delicious feel of fattening guacamole with chunks of tomato, avocado and jalepeno’s as it is whipped with greek yogurt. Utterly addictive.
5. CHARLES SHAW WINES (all varieties): Proof that you can buy good wine at under $3. There is a wide range and of course everyone has their own preferences but in generally speaking the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the best.

6. FROZEN MAC’N’CHEESE: Althought this is a frozen dinner that many people tend to avoid, it really tastes great and unprocessed. Massive amounts of cheese - cheddar, gouda, Swiss and havarti - make this a cheesey gooey fabulous comfort food which really can taste home made.
7. ALMOND BUTTER (all varieties): With a slightly runnier texture in the jar than other butters, alwasy stir before slapping it on your food. It is salty but has a great almond flavour. Can be used as a spread or dip.
8. CHILE LIME CHICKEN BURGERS: Sold in boxes of four these are a refreshing and zingy change from a traditional beef burger. Just the right combination of chillie and lime and a match made in heaven if you also snapped up the Reduced Guilt Chunky Guacamole.
9. FENNEL BULBS: All vegetables sold in Trader Joe’s are great , but fennel in particular is so versatile and it’s distinctive liqorice flavour can enhance a multitude of dishes whether used raw or cooked.
10. POUND PLUS CHOCOLATE BAR (Milk and Dark): Worth the guilt, this brick-like block of pure indulgence will satisfy any choc-o-holic. They have mini versions near the tills but why not got the full distance and treat yourself to this smooth millky bar of naughtiness.
Has this inspired you to pay a visit to Trader Joe’s - be warned it is impossible to leave with an empty basket!
